About the 2024 Great American Smoke Out on Nov. 21

We invite Berks County residents who smoke to participate, joining thousands of people from across the country who will quit smoking for just one day. The Great American Smoke Out (GASO) is an initiative of the American Cancer Society, celebrated annually on the 3rd Thursday of November, challenging Americans to quit tobacco.

You don’t have to stop smoking in one day. Start with day one. Let the Great American Smoke Out event on the third Thursday in November be your day to start your journey toward a smoke-free life. – American Cancer Society
