The RISE Center (Recovery – Information – Support – Education) is a new facility in Reading, PA hosting a full slate of activities and events to support individuals and families in recovery from addiction. The center is a place for positive and mutually beneficial socializing, offering support and educational programs such as recovery-specific trainings, meetings and social activities.

Programming is determined by a steering committee comprised of Berks County community residents committed to promoting and advancing addiction recovery. It is not a drug and alcohol or mental health treatment facility, nor will anyone reside at the location. The center subscribes to the many pathways of recovery philosophy.

“On any given day, there may be a 12-step meeting, a Celebrate Recovery group, a painting class, and a personal skills development workshop,” Auman said. “The possibilities are endless. All are welcome.”
Jeffrey G. Auman, COCA Executive Board Member

The RISE Center is operated by Treatment Access and Services Center (TASC), through funding made available by the Council on Chemical Abuse (COCA).
