Due to recent developments related to the COVID-19 virus, COCA has temporarily suspended the ability for the public to self select printed brochures and library materials from our offices until further notice.
The Council on Chemical Abuse, in collaboration with the Berks County Library System, hosts an Addiction Resource Lending Library that is open to the public. The library is located in our office and is open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The library is a clearinghouse of books, videos, and visual aids that address topics such as addictions, codependency, recovery, behavioral health, refusal skills, and parenting.
Anyone wishing to borrow materials must have a Berks County Library System library card. You may reserve any of our materials online or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Reserved items must be picked up at our office within five days after the reservation is made.
We offer brochures and pamphlets on many addiction and prevention-related topics. These are available at no cost to Berks County residents, businesses and organizations. Click here for more details.
If you need further information about the COCA’s Lending Library, please contact us.
Please note: All book requests will be for pick-up only until further notice.
