COCA Joins Campaign to End Stigma

We are partnering with Life Unites Us, a new campaign with a mission to “reduce the stigma around opioid use disorder in Pennsylvania” by sharing the real stories of those living with addiction. Life Unites Us has launched a social media campaign and a website with resources and a story library. Stories shared through the campaign serve as proof that people do recover from substance use disorder and lead full productive lives. They serve as proof that addiction is a treatable medical condition, and that recovery is not only possible, but probable. Reducing stigma makes it more likely that someone suffering from an opioid use disorder will seek treatment.

As partners, the Council on Chemical Abuse will share relevant stories with our community and help champion the Life Unites Us’ stigma reduction campaign. Learn more about Life Unites Us
