Our popular “Adventures with Courage” storybook is back, with several new activities and illustrations. The book is composed of five stories, all written by COCA prevention specialists and featuring our mascot, Courage the Lion. In each story, Courage and his friends encounter various challenges and must find the best ways to keep themselves safe. The stories are intended to teach children valuable lessons on prevention topics including avoiding vaping and marijuana, using refusal skills, practicing mindfulness and understanding medication safety. Each chapter includes activities and discussion questions, so that parents can open a dialogue and help their child better understand the concepts in the stories.
