Withdrawal Management

Withdrawl Management, also known as detoxification or detox, is the process of eliminating an addictive substance from the body. Its purpose is to safely manage withdrawal symptoms when someone stops taking drugs or alcohol. Treatment includes supportive care as well as medications to address physical symptoms and reduce or prevent complications. Withdrawal Management is often the first step toward recovery and should be followed by a program of addiction treatment.

This level of care is for individuals whose withdrawal problems are severe enough to require 24-hour observation, monitoring and possible medication.
