National Night Out

On August 6, 2024, COCA will participate in National Night Out at various Berks County locations, offering activities and fun giveaways and providing information on substance use prevention, treatment & recovery.

Locations Include:

• Northern Berks NNO – Berks County Fairgrounds 6-9 PM
• Muhlenberg Police Dept at Jim Dietrich Park 6-8:30 PM
• Sinking Spring Playground 6-9 PM
• Spring Township Police Dept at Lincoln Park Pool 5-9 PM
• City of Reading, 400-500 Block of Penn St. 5-8 PM

Every year, on the first Tuesday in August, the Council on Chemical Abuse staff visit multiple locations around Berks County to help communities celebrate National Night Out.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live. COCA participates in this yearly by setting up tables with prevention information, interactive children’s games, prizes and giveaways.
