VIRTUAL TRAINING: Case Management Overview & Skills Training – TRAINING FULL

This is a new Case Management training program, which consists of an on-demand training module through TrainPA and a two-part virtual skills training scheduled for  Jan. 18 & Jan. 19, 2022 1-4 p.m.

The on-demand training module must be completed prior to Jan. 18. It will provide case managers with a foundation to build skills and gain a comprehensive understanding of case management, and guide participants through what case management is, how it came about, and the core roles of case managers. You will receive 2 hours of PCB continuing education credit for completing the on-demand training module. 

The two-part Virtual Case Management Skills training will build on the information provided in the online training and provide participants with the opportunity to practice case management skills. Participants will also be provided with tools to assist in identifying resources within their network and community to assist the individuals they serve. Both trainings are required to be completed within 365 days of hire for SCA staff and their contracted providers. The online Case Management Overview training must be completed before the Case Management Skills training. You will receive 6 hours of PCB credit for completing the two-part virtual skills training.

This virtual training REQUIRES each individual to be logged in on their own computer, have a working video camera and microphone TURNED ON for the duration of the training. Individuals may not share a computer. Individuals may not use a cell phone to attend this training. 

Trainer: Sarah Davis received her Master’s Degree from University of Maryland in 1994. She has been working in the field of drug and alcohol both in clinical and management positions since 1991. She has been an approved Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs trainer since 1997, both teaching classes and working in curriculum development.
