Training: Basic HIV – Registration Full

This is a 6-hour training taught virtually in two 3-hour sessions from 9 a.m. – noon on April 5 & 6. Cost is $20

Participants must attend both sessions in order to get credit. Sessions are not transferable (meaning you cant take session 1 with us and session 2 somewhere else).

This course will outline the connections between substance use disorders and HIV disease. It will provide information about the fundamental principles unique to this dually impacted population. HIV development, transmission, symptoms, and treatment options will be addressed. Risk assessment, risk reduction, and health promotion counseling strategies will be discussed. The course format will include lecture, discussion, and experiential exercises.

Facilitated virtually by Greg Krausz. Mr. Krausz has been in the field of addictions for 17 years.  He is currently Co-owner of Monocacy Counseling Associates, Adjunct professor in addictions counseling at Moravian College and Director of Addiction Treatment Programs at the Mid-Atlantic Rehabilitation Services-ATP.

Registration Information

This training will be held online and REQUIRES each individual to be logged in on their own computer. Individuals may not share a computer. Individuals may not use a cell phone to attend this training. All individuals MUST have a working video camera and microphone TURNED ON for the duration of the training.

Mr. Krausz has been in the field of addictions for 17 years.  He is currently Co-owner of Monocacy Counseling Associates, Adjunct professor in addictions counseling at Moravian College and Director of Addiction Treatment Programs at the Mid-Atlantic Rehabilitation Services-ATP.
