2025 Berks County Recovery Walk

Join us for the 2025 Berks Recovery Walk on Saturday, September 20th! Walk will begin at 10:00 AM at Recovery Coaching Services at 505 Penn St. Reading, PA 19601 and will proceed about one-mile to the RISE Recovery Center, located at 702 N 8th St. A Recovery Celebration and light refreshments will follow immediately after at the RISE Center courtyard. All are welcome to attend. The celebration will include a butterfly release and invocation by Pastor Tom Scornavacchi.

The Berks Recovery Walk has been a staple in Berks County for over 20 years, providing an opportunity to celebrate people in recovery and to raise awareness that people can and do recover from substance use disorder and go on to live full, productive lives.

“It is a wonderful way to shed the shame of addiction and shine a light on recovery,” said COCA’s Community Programs Specialist Yvonne Stroman, who organizes the event. “The message that is shared among supporters, marchers, family members and friends is that Recovery Works!! Addiction Recovery is not a lonely journey, but instead a journey that is supported by loved ones, the community and others. Lets lift the voice of recovery so that others know they can get well.”
