Esperanza para Berks is a yearly event for the Spanish-speaking population in Berks County. This event is FREE and open to the public. Professionals, community members, and religious leaders are joining together to talk about a very important issue in a program completely in Spanish. Bi-lingual materials will be provided, but all the presentations and discussions will be in Spanish.
This year’s event will address mental health & addiction, stigma, and safe medication management. Lunch will be provided.

“Esperanza para Berks is a unique program, and it’s changing the atmosphere of our community as we discuss the needs of the Latino population in Berks. Each year we provide necessary information about addiction to drugs and alcohol to the Spanish-speaking community,” said Jobany Bedoya, Small Business and Latino Outreach Coordinator for the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance. Bedoya is the event committee chair, as well as, Board President of the Council on Chemical Abuse.
