World No Tobacco Day is May 31

In recognition of World No Tobacco Day on May 31, we invite students in grades 2-5 to watch the video “Tobacco Truths.” In this pre-recorded, interactive video, our Tobacco Treatment Specialist Miss Teresa discusses the myths and truths around tobacco (and vaping), and helps children understand how smoking may affect health and goals. The lesson includes fun,  engaging activities for the students to follow at home.

About World No Tobacco Day

World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) is observed around the world every year on the last day of May. This tobacco holiday was created to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco. WNTD specifically focuses on the business practices of tobacco companies, and what people around the world can do to claim their right to health and healthy living and to protect future generations. For more information, visit the WHO website.
