Jan. 22, 2020 – The Associated Press published an article this week highlighting the increase in methamphetamine and cocaine use across the US. The White House Drug Czar said the US is not just addressing an opioid crisis but “an addiction crisis.” Changes are being made to allow federal funding designated for the opioid crisis to help address stimulant use as well.
Unlike opioids there are not medications to help with cocaine or methamphetamine use. Rather, treatment includes counseling and support groups for those struggling.
