The Council on Chemical Abuse is pleased to announces its 17th annual conference – A Crisis in Berks: Our Response. Addiction is all around us. We see it every day, be it in our neighborhoods, workplace, and through electronic and print of media. As much as treatment can be a clinically based interruption, sustained recovery provides a long term solution. Through sustained recovery, people no longer need to suffer, families can mend and heal and an overburdened criminal justice and social service system can unburden itself of clients involved due to an untreated addiction. Our crisis is real and deadly, our response is sustained recovery.
